Information

Parent information for this season (2023/24)

Teams

Kidmore End Kestrels and Kidmore End Red Kites. Both teams will once again be entered into the Berkshire Youth Development League (BYDL). Although we want to ensure that players can play against others of similar ability, all players are registered for both teams, giving us the opportunity to switch players between squads to aide with their development and to provide cover where necessary. The only time that we will have ‘set squads’ is for cup competitions as this is a league requirement that players can only play for one team in the competition. We will let you know cup dates in due course.

Matches

Matches for the season will be played at Kings Meadow, Reading. Kick off times will vary and will be either 9am, 10.05am, 11.10am or 12.15pm. Usually warm up and team selection is 20-25 minutes before kick off.

Training

We will continue to train 5.30pm – 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening at Kidmore End Cricket Club (KECC). Usually we train at this facility from September to end of November, and also from March until the season finishes.

In the winter months we hire nearby floodlit facilities (usually astro turf) to give our grass pitches time to recover from the winter conditions.

As always, any questions, please ask one of the coaches. We look forward to a great season ahead!
